Carlsberg Special Brew is a rich malty, strong lager. First produced in 1950 to commemorate Sir Winston Churchill's visit to Copenhagen, Special Brew has Cognac notes to reflect Churchill's favourite tipple. It is full-bodied, with a distinct bitterness. Since its launch to market in the early 1970s Carlsberg Special Brew has been one of the leading UK strong lagers.
